USA : Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Commits up to $120 Million to Accelerate Access to COVID-19 Drug for Lower-Income Countries

LIBREVILLE, October 20 (Infosplusgabon) -  The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced today a commitment of up to $120 million to accelerate access to the investigational antiviral drug molnupiravir for lower-income countries as part of its COVID-19 response effort. The funding will be allocated based on consultations with partners, and will support the range of activities required to develop and manufacture generic versions of the drug, which is being developed by Merck & Co in collaboration with Ridgeback Biotherapeutics.

LIBREVILLE, October 17 (Infosplusgabon) - Orange and the German Development Cooperation are inaugurating an “Orange Digital Center” in Abidjan, an ecosystem entirely dedicated to the development of digital skills and innovation, attended by the highest political and administrative authorities from Côte d’Ivoire, the Ambassador of Germany in Côte d'Ivoire, GIZ and members of the board and Orange Group Executive Committee led by its Chairman and CEO Stéphane Richard.

World Future Council offers support to UN Summit of the Future 2023

As governments conclude plenary debates on the Agenda during the UN General Assembly, the World Future Council (WFC) is offering their support. The organisation, consisting of over 50 international change-makers, has a proven in-depth knowledge of future-just policy-making. In making their offer, the World Future Council underlines the need for governments to better address the rights and needs of future generations.
