Covid-19: Congo registers 45 cases, 5 deaths

Brazzaville, Congo, April 4 (Infosplusgabon) - The number of deaths linked to COVID-19 has risen to 5, while number of infected persons is 45, including 32 in Brazzaville and 13 in Pointe-Noire, according to the epidemiological report released on Saturday in Brazzaville by the Coordinator of the national technical response to the pandemic, Dr Gilbert Ntdzessi.

 

 

 

In addition, the number of local transmission cases increased from 11 to 12, including 8 in Pointe-Noire and 4 in Brazzaville.

 

According to Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi, the last two deaths were recorded in private structures. In this regard, he asked the heads of private health facilities to approach the national coordination of the response to better supervise interventions.

 

In addition, authorized services are currently monitoring 309 contact persons. The number of people in quarantine sites remains unchanged at 357.
