Togo registers 40th case of coronavirus infection and 3 deaths

Lomé, Togo, April 4 (Infosplusgabon) -  With one case of coronavirus diagnosed as positive on Friday, confirmed cases in Togo have reached 40 and three deaths were recorded the same day, Infosplusgabon learned from official sources in Lomé on Saturday.

In addition to the positive cases, the operational unit in charge of COVID-19 announced 17 cured patients and 24 still on intensive treatment.

 

Since April 1, following the spread of the pandemic, Togo has declared a state of health emergency for a period of 3 months and a curfew from 8 pm to 6 am.

 

In a statement released on Friday, the government renewed the measures taken during the onset of the disease on March 6, including the closure of air borders for commercial flights from high-risk countries, the closure of land borders, the suspension of international events, the closure of schools, places of worship, except markets to allow people to obtain food and retailers to sell their products, especially food.
