Brazzaville, Congo, June 25 (Infosplusgabon) - French Ambassador to Congo, Bertrand Cochery, announced on Monday in Brazzaville, the participation of the Republic of Congo in a meeting between the Hexagon and the African countries in Paris after a meeting with President Denis Sassou Nguesso.

"It will be an overview of all topics of common interest, whether current issues, international politics, security on the African continent and in the subregion , but also to speak of a number of important bilateral cooperation issues around the three reinforced cooperation roadmaps signed last spring," he said.

One of these roadmaps focuses on higher education, research and education, while the other two relate to environment and health respectively.

"These are three important topics: in the environment sector, I insisted to the President on the importance of the peat bogs, which today constitutes a master map, an essential asset for Congo, in the framework of the Blue Fund and more broadly in relation to all environmental challenges, "said Cochery.

The French ambassador also said that Africa and Europe should work harder to have more active partnerships.
