Abidjan, Côte d 'Ivoire, February 14 (Infosplusgabon) - The 26th Annual Meetings of the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) will be held in Moscow, Russia, from June 19-21, with the main theme 'Capitalizing on Emerging Partnerships in an era of rising protectionism'.

The agenda of these Annual Meetings provides for the meeting and seminar of the Consultative Group on Trade Finance and Export Development from June 19-20, said a briefing note sent to PANA.

The sub-themes to be discussed will focus on African trade and investment in the context of changing global dynamics: opportunities and challenges; and strengthening economic cooperation with new partners.

The 26th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be held on June 21.

Created in October 1993, Afreximbank has contributed to the financing and promotion of trade in Africa.

Its five-year strategic plan 2017-2021, called "Impact 2021, Transformed Africa" and adopted in January 2017, provides for disbursement of more than US$90 billion to support African trade.

Financial support for intra-African trade is expected to top $25 billion during the period.
